Today
the dental profession is faced with the uphill
task of providing dental services to the population
of rural India, the justification being very
high incidence of common dental diseases like
dental caries and periodontal diseases. The
reason behind this high incidence of dental
diseases among rural population is many. To
mention a few:
- Lack of public awareness about dental care
- Negligible or almost non experimental dental
services available to the rural population.
If we are really interested to get rid of dental
diseases, we are left with no alternative but
to combine our curative and preventive measures
in order to prevent and control dental disorders
to meet above mentioned needs, Shree Bankey
Bihari Educational Society deemed it necessary
to start a dental institution with all modern
equipment, instruments and materials necessary
for imparting practical and clinical training,
affording ample scope of future research in
the field.
The institution has been set up in order to
usher the new era of dental care with latest
techniques, technologies and technicalities.
The institution offers us an opportunity to
step into a higher level of professionalism.
India has produced several clinicians and academicians
of very high calibre and of international repute.
Therefore, it will be our constant endeavour
to tap the potential of youth and develop them
into bright and budding dentists that can do
us proud.
